Sunset south of Kankakee, IL.

  • Spiraling updraft when we first got on the storm. It was an amazing sight considering how much moisture was in the air.
  • First cycle we witnessed. It looked very promising.
  • Big RFD surge on the left side.
  • Very clear RFD cut into the base. This was about as close as the storm came to producing.
  • Still trying.
  • This was the last real attempt at a tornado before the storm would go elevated.
  • Another RFD surge, but by this time the storm was elevated.
  • Sunset south of Kankakee, IL.
