The tow truck had some trouble backing into position.

  • My home (1 mile north of Lake Tanglewood) covered in about a foot of snow with drifts close to 3 feet.
  • Took a little digging to get out.
  • One of the deeper drifts.
  • Splinter wants me to clean this mess immediately and feed him.
  • The mid morning sun poked through briefly while southeast of Amarillo.
  • The herd huddling together for warmth.
  • This area received a solid foot of snow.
  • The sun hid back behind the layer of low clouds once more.
  • Pullman Road and Farmers Avenue
  • Some irony into the mix.
  • Coffee break @ The 806 down on 6th Street.
  • By this early afternoon, the big meltdown began.
  • Ground temps stayed above freezing, helping melt the snow rather quickly.
  • This was the only accident I saw, near I-40 and Coulter.
  • The blue Pontiac was abandoned on the shoulder, when the red Hummer clipped it.
  • The tow truck had some trouble backing into position.
  • Both vehicles were towed away safely and no injuries were reported.
  • Lot of steering and suspension damage on the Hummer.
  • Lot of left rear damage to the blue Pontiac.
