This cycle of the storm didn't do anything and would disappear over Friona.

  • First view of the storm on HWY 60 near Black. Very ominous green tint mean this storm was dropping some big hail.
  • This cycle of the storm didn't do anything and would disappear over Friona.
  • New strong cycle NW of Friona, beautiful barber pole structure.
  • There's that green tint again. There was a lot of rising motion on the right side.
  • Hen egg sized hail found in rural NW Parmer County.
  • Again the storm cycled with no success. But the storm maintained a healthy supercellular appearance.
  • Now in rural NE Curry County, NM where the storm tried once again.
  • Back in Deaf Smith County, TX west of Bootleg. The strong low level jet has arrived and the storm grows in intensity.
  • Far left would be looking west, and far right is looking NE.
  • Tornado touching down to our north. It was too dark to see so we relied on lightning to guide us.
  • Big flash next to the tornado illuminated it nicely.
