April 1, 2013 TX Panhandle Supercell

A low probability day in the SE quarter of the TX panhandle. One storm was in progress as we drove south then east near Silverton, TX. A combination of well positioned boundaries, surging moisture, and steep mid-level lapse rates helped pump life in this storm. We barely missed the tornado near Silverton unfortunately, but the storm was still photogenic.
