May 30, 2012 Cottle County Earth Eater

Essentially a Moderate Risk bust for Oklahoma. This storm fired in the SE panhandle and moved southeast, producing very large hail up to softball sized. This storm popped very much near the center of the surface low and grew very rapidly. We ended up getting cutoff from our south road by a large downed tree and had to ride out the storm's massive hailcore.

  • Storm northwest of Paducah, TX. Very impressive structure and even more impressive inflow.

  • Backside of the meso looking towards the vault. Some very massive stones in there.
  • Baseball sized stone we had land near us.
  • Dust kicked up by the RFD.
  • Way down by Aspermont as we watch the storm shrink during sunset.
